The only thing better than a new piece of lingerie is a new piece of lingerie that’s delivered to your door — in an elegant black box filled with rose petals — every month.
Lingerie subscription services are beginning to proliferate the web. But it’s often hard to judge the quality or wade through a slew of options which may, or may not, flatter the woman who’ll be shimmying into, or out of, the lingerie.
But now there’s The Enclosed, a high-end “knickers” subscription service designed to help you pick the perfect panty for your friend, sister, lover, or yourself.
The web site walks you through steps to find just the right pair of knickers. First, you choose how often to send your gift: from just once to a 12-month subscription. Then you select from a range of cuts, from bikinis to g-strings. Once you’ve settled on the kind of knickers you want, you then pick the style, fabric, color, and size.
I chose boyshorts with an “edgy sexy” style, in a “decadent dark” color that was “luscious lacy.” And when the box arrived, I found a pair of knickers that was exactly that.
Mine came from KissKill, a high-end Australian lingerie line. When I slipped into them for the first time, I was ecstatically surprised by how comfortable they were, how well they fit, and of course, how elegantly naughty they looked.
The subscription service isn’t cheap. But you get what you pay for, in this case a luxury experience that delivers the highest-quality knickers. Besides KISSKILL, some of the other brands they offer are L’Agent by Agent Provocateur, Maison Close, and Eberjey.
When you open the box, you find a gift card nestled atop the rose petals. You can write your own message at the time of purchase, or use one of the ideas suggested by The Enclosed. My favorite message? “Friends don’t let friends wear ugly knickers.”
And as you can see by these photos, my friends at The Enclosed did me right.

Disclosure: I received no money for this post, although I did get an awesome pair of knickers.
